The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS), the National Composites Centre (NCC) and HiETA Technologies will be hosting ‘The Big Breakfast Event’ on 23rd February 2016, 8-10.30am. Held at Bristol and Bath Science Park, CFMS, NCC and HiETA are inviting customers, members, partners, neighbouring tenants and businesses from Bristol and the surrounding area to join them for breakfast.
The aim of the Big Breakfast event is to provide businesses with the opportunity to network and collaborate with new contacts. Bristol and Bath is the UK’s only fast growing, globally significant tech cluster and is rated one of the most dynamic and progressive regions in the UK*.
The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) is a growing, independent, not-for-profit specialist in high value design capability, underpinned by advanced modelling and simulation and high performance computing. Based at Bristol and Bath Science Park, the objective of aiding industry collaboration and dissemination is intrinsic to CFMS, bridging the gap between industry and academia.
The National Composites Centre (NCC) is the UK’s leading centre of excellence and innovation in composites technology. The NCC provides collaborative, open-access, research, technology and people development, delivering world-class innovation and knowledge transfer for the design, manufacture and application of composites. The 2009 Composites Strategy enabled the impressive industrial-scale facilities to be built in response to industry demand. The NCC is hosted by the University of Bristol, is part of, and helped create the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC).
Also based at Bristol and Bath Science Park, HiETA Technologies is a product design, development and production company exploiting the new technology of Additive Manufacturing (AM). Using Selective Laser Melting they can “grow” components from layers of very fine powders. The very high levels of 3D design freedom provided by the approach allow HiETA to create more compact and efficient components than conventional manufacturing techniques.
The Big Breakfast Event is on 23rd February 2016 between 8am – 10.30am. Why not join CFMS, NCC and HiETA for eggs and bacon, coffee and connections while refuelling your engine. Be our guest and have a networking breakfast. From continental to full English, register below, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact details.
