Welcome to the Summer edition of the CFMS newsletter! 

Just like many others, the CFMS team has been continuing to work around
Covid-19. Interactions were fully virtual during lockdown, yet we continued working, and can now share with you some of the results.

In this edition of the newsletter, we explore everything from the latest developments from the Model Based Engineering team to discovering more about our placement year students and their projects.

Our offices are now re-opening gradually, and we hope we can welcome visitors safely in the near future.

Predicting future performance with MBE

Prototyping is changing. Virtual product development is overtaking physical prototyping and in the current environment, this is only set to increase more. CFMS has been busy on a number of projects and researching how digital testing can be utilised across a wide range of industries.

Bringing together the virtual and physical world can help to better inform decision-making, reduce risk and plan for operations. CFMS has built a 2D digital twin of the city of Bristol to identify the flow of pedestrian traffic around different buildings, objects and people.
