Additive Manufacturing - the future of Electrical Machines and Drives

Newcastle University’s APC Electric Machine Spoke are holdng an event, 'Additive Manufacturing - the future of Electrical Machines and Drives', taking place at CFMS, 4th June 2019.

The aim of this one day free event is for the academic community to understand ‘what is possible’ in terms of manufacturing of electrical machines using Additive Manufacturing and for industry to understand ‘what is needed’ when it comes to electrical machines and drives.

At the event you will hear from both our academic and industrial communities. You will be able to learn about Additive Manufacturing (AM) industry and its prospects, AM fabricating techniques and materials, practical industrial applications of AM, and AM in the context of electrical machines and drives.  Also, you will have an opportunity to see AM process of metal parts and examples of components fabricated for ‘real-life applications’.
