The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) and Altair and partners will be holding The Innovation in Design & Technology Simulation Showcase event on 20th July 2015, between 10.00 - 15.30.
Taking place at CFMS, Bristol & Bath Science Park, delegates will be offered the opportunity to learn more about advances in design capability through the use and application of best-in-class technologies and software. This will be illustrated through a series of informal, live demonstrations from industry specialists. Exhibition pods will cover Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), additive manufacturing, composites, vulnerability, electro-magnetics, product design and high performance computing (HPC) to name but a few.
Access to the high performance computing cluster at CFMS will be available on the day to run live cases and demonstrate simulations, offering delegates the opportunity to discuss individual design projects and processes while experimenting with new techniques.
This informal event will provide organisations of all sizes and capability with the chance to engage with specialists on specific engineering design challenges through to learning more about the benefits of simulation. A selection of case studies demonstrating customer success stories will be made available to delegates.
Sam Paice, Chief Operating Officer, CFMS commented, “Facilitating collaboration and providing access to best in class technologies from partners, our aim for the event is to enable organisations to learn about advances in the design process.”
To attend The Innovation in Design & Technology Simulation Showcase, delegates can register or drop in on the day. To view more information about the event and register, click here.
The Centre for Modelling and Simulation (CFMS) is an independent, not-for-profit specialist in modelling and simulation. We support the UK delivery of new design methods and processes.
Through our development centre and state-of-the-art facility, we offer specialist skills, resource and access to best in class technologies to enable organisations to achieve significant advances in design processes.
At the heart of innovation, we bridge the gap between industry, academia and the research supply chain, facilitating collaboration, shaping the development agenda’s of industrial process users and capability suppliers.
As a trusted and neutral provider, our vision is to drive a revolution in engineering capability and design, working with organisations to reduce risk in the design phase, product development costs and time to market.
