The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) will be holding a ParaView Industry event on 9th July 2015 between 10.30 - 17.00.
Taking place at Bristol and Bath Science Park, Marcus Hanwell, Technical Leader at Kitware, will present two individual sessions; ‘ParaView for Beginners’ and a ‘ParaView Masterclass’ for advanced users.
'ParaView for Beginners' will cover the basics of using the ParaView Client exercised through a range of examples that will showcase the capabilities of ParaView and will be an excellent introduction for new users. The Masterclass will focus on more complex usage including usage of the Python scripting api to interact with ParaView servers running on a cluster, introducing newer ParaView frameworks like catalyst and cinema.
ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualisation application developed to analyse extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources. It can be run on supercomputers to analyse datasets of petascale size as well as on laptops for smaller data, has become an integral tool in many national laboratories, universities and industry, and has won several awards related to high performance computation.
Through its development centre and state-of-the-art facility, CFMS supports the delivery of new design methods and processes, providing access to specialist skills and best in class technologies.
