Senior Research Engineer
Department: Model Based Engineering
Reporting to: Head of Engineering
Employment: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time

About the role

This role is suited to an individual with at least 5 years experience of working with customers to solve engineering challenges in an industrial environment.

The Senior Research Engineer will be focused on working with customers to identify, capture and refine requirements, convert this into a simulation architecture and lead the development of novel simulations to solve engineering challenges across a range of domains. They will be expected to take ownership of projects and plan and deliver them in coordination with the team’s project manager.

Junior Systems Administrator
Department: Engineering Computing Services
Reporting to: Head of Engineering Computing Services
Employment: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time

About the Role

This role is suited to a motivated individual who is passionate about all things IT with a particular focus on Linux, keen to learn new technologies and able to take a project from an abstract concept through to completion in a team environment.

The Junior Systems Administrator will play a role in the management and maintenance of the compute, storage, underlying network infrastructure and the software that runs on it for CFMS. Our Engineering Computing Services team work together to maintain the CFMS IT estate and its user base, working also with the wider CFMS technical team and customer end-users. You will be exposed to a wide variety of exciting and leading-edge technologies and systems, with many opportunities to learn new skills.
